The Women’s March was a worldwide protest on January 21, 2017, to advocate legislation and policies regarding human rights and other issues, including women’s rights, immigration reform, healthcare reform, reproductive rights, the natural environment, LGBTQ rights, racial equality, freedom of religion and workers’ rights. It has since become a national, non-profit organization for social activists that continues to focus on the pillars and mission of the original March, by directing its participants and volunteers to take action in support of these tenants.

YURU Meditation + Mindfulness is an organization led by local-to-South Florida meditation teacher, Shelly Tygielski, and seeks to bring modern mindfulness to the community-at-large by focusing on at-risk populations, “unlikely meditators” and the average person. Shelly also focuses much of her practice on teaching the important of self-care to activists and social workers.
